Styling dessert, with finds from Etsy

Lifestyle, StylingVicki WallisComment

Yesterday on the blog, I showed you how to make a pretty & unique dessert bowl, made from flowers & ice. If you missed it, you can learn the simple technique, by clicking here. The project got me thinking about dessert (& not in just my usual way of, I love dessert) & how I'd style dessert as an event. As you might know, I love doing my shopping on Etsy. As an Etsy seller myself I love supporting other small businesses & I also love their range of unique pieces. Granted, it can sometimes take a while to find what you need, but I've found some suggestions to style your dessert table (I've gone with serving ice cream, as it's my fave)....

So, to compliment my DIY flower ice bowls, I've chosen the following;

  1. Set of 4 ceramic bowls by 1220CeramicsStudio - I've got a thing for handmade ceramics & I love the colour & detail in these designs. I thought they'd be great for holding any toppings (or, if you don't have time to make the ice bowls, these would be great for the ice cream, too).
  2. Vintage metal ice cream scoop from HTArtcraftAndVintage - I loved the idea of having a vintage scoop & this is a lovely example & in good condition too.

  3. Edible Pink Hearts Confetti Sprinkles from CharmiosCraftParty - You may have noticed that I have a thing for pink & while I admit they may be a bit bright for some people, these hot pink sprinkles will be making their way onto my ice cream!

  4. Sprinkle Scoop from SucreShop - there's so many amazing finds in this shop, perfect for your party needs. I thought this scoop was too cute to miss!

  5. Edible Multi Colored Glitter from CharmiosCraftParty - if hot pink isn't your thing, these sprinkles might be more your taste. Honestly though....I'll probably be using a bit of both.

  6. Blush Pink & Gold Paper Napkins from PaperboyParty - napkins are a must if your anything like me (i.e. super clumsy) & I love the blush & gold combo

  7. Sweet Tooth Stamped Spoon by DazzlingDezignz4U - thought this message was very appropriate & I'm such a fan of hand stamped techniques. I thought this design was great!

  8. Popsicle Sticks from SucreShop - last but not least, if you'd rather go popsicle sticks over spoons, this striped option in fresh summer colours is ideal for any dessert table.

I hope this has given you some ideas. How would you style your desserts? I'd love to know, please feel free to leave a comment below. Enjoy your Sunday!
